P.H.Jen’s studio is located next to his home in rural Otegem. His studio serves as a cocoon, a protective environment, in which it is safe for the artist to journey deep into his own soul. It is a place where he can work and spend time surrounded by his many paintings, sculptures, installations and seemingly ordinary items, which only have a deeper meaning for him. The studio is a reflection of the artist’s own nostalgic character and, in many ways, similar to a time capsule. There’s even a classic car in a corner, with headlamp eyes that seem to oversee and approve of his works.
